WWE SmackDown Results - 5 November 2015: SmackDown this week begins with Zeb Colter in a foul mood and addressing the fans in attendance. Colter brings up the common question in everyone’s mind that how are Alberto Del Rio and he working together after he had been waving the American flag for so long. Del Rio talks about Zeb’s dream of a great nation in MexAmerica and Zeb reinforces it.
Alberto Del Rio vs Neville:
Del Rio starts off the match in his usual aggressive manner, with the snug offense on Neville. Neville is his usual exciting self with hurricano anas, moon sault, and the works. Del Rio misses a running enziguiri, but towards the end of the match, Neville finds himself entangled in the corner on the second turnbuckle.
Del Rio takes advantage of that and hits the double foot stomp to pick up the win. Following the match, Del Rio runs back into the ring and locks in the cross arm-breaker on Neville, when Swagger comes to make a save. The match ends with a staredown between the two former enemies.
The Usos vs The Ascension:
The returning Usos are essentially in a match against the forgotten tag team on the roster, The Ascension. The Ascension does get a lot of offense in surprisingly in this match, but the finish is never in question as Usos pick up the win following a Uso splash.
The Wyatt Family vs. The Prime Time Players & The Lucha Dragons in a Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match:
Never is a squash match so evident than when all the four members of the team survive in the end of a Survivor Series elimination match.
The Wyatt family pick up a win after Young, Sin Cara, Kalisto and Titus O’Neil are eliminated by Strowman, Harper, Rowan, and Wyatt respectively.
King Barrett vs Ryback:
In a very straightforward match, King Barrett lands some offense early on Ryback, who sells the beating. Barrett gets in a couple of false finishes but meets his end when Ryback hits a shellshocked for the win.
Tamina Snuka w/Sasha Banks & Naomi vs Natalya:
In a typical Divas match involving the heels and the babyfaces, Natalya faces the onslaught from Tamina in the ring, and the occasional cheap shots at the hands of Naomi and Banks, from the outside.
However, she has the last laugh after she rolls up Tamina for the victory, who misses with a frog splash.
Dean Ambrose vs Kevin Owens:
It is a back and forth match between the two former indie stars turned WWE superstars. The end comes after Owens pulls an Eddie Guerrero on Ambrose, claiming the Lunatic Fringe hit him low when he had actually kicked him in the midsection.
Ambrose lands a suicide dive on Owens after the referee calls for a disqualification. The two brawl for a bit, but Owens bails through the crowd as Ambrose stares him down from the ring to close the show.
