WWE had its maiden tour back in 1996 and sold out the arena with more than 50,000 fans, which had names like Yokozuna, Bret Hart among others. Following the success of that tour, WWE did a 3-city tour of India in 2002 which didn’t go that well with low ticket sales and a generally negative experience involving the promoters and event managers. WWE hasn’t since ventured back to India, making it a 13-year wait which is set to end soon.
