Match Preview:
The USA has only played 3 times before this year. They have reached to semi-final stage only once in 1995 in Uruguay. Also, this is the first time when Copa America is being organized outside South America and that too in the United States. This is a great opportunity for them to show the world soccer their strength.
Head to Head:
The two teams had met in 17 previous matches, the last friendly held in 2014 at Craven Cottage in London, a match won by Colombia 2–1. In Copa América, the 1995 third-place match, won by Colombia 4–1, and in a group stage match in 2007, also won by Colombia with a lone goal by Jaime Castrillón.
So far Colombia has an edge over the US. MNT in Copa America and friendly games.
Match Prediction:
Colombia has some world class players who played in various European Football leagues which give them an edge over US team players. James Rodriguez, Carlos Bacca, Carlos Sanchez, Juan Cuadrado has some great experience playing in big clubs and with big players. So Colombia will win this game by 2-0.
