Man Utd has Most Injuries in Premier League 2015 Season: A recent report published by physioroom.com has stated that Manchester United has had more injury concerns than Arsenal since the start of last season. Arsenal currently has 10 players sidelined, with some of their best players like Alexis Sanchez, Santi Cazorla and Francis Coquelin in the treatment room. Arsene Wenger has also been without Jack Wilshere, Theo Walcott and Danny Welbeck over the past season and a half. Despite this situation, Manchester United have had more players injured and miss more games since the start of 2014/15 season.
During the past year, Louis van Gaal’s side has had 32 players pick up injuries along the course of the season. Luke Shaw, who is currently out with a broken leg, and Phil Jones have been out for the most time. In total, United’s players have missed a combined 2,582 days.
Arsenal’s players have missed a combined 2,542 days in the same period. Welbeck who departed from United at the start of the last season and Wilshere have spent the most time out of action for the Gunners. Welbeck was also out with injury for 22 days while he was still with Manchester United at the start of the 2014/15 season, before his move to Arsenal.
Daniel Sturridge who was out for almost a year makes up a substantial part of Liverpool’s 2,339 days out since the start of last season while Manchester City (1,708), Tottenham (1,457) and Chelsea (1,138) have been more fortunate.
The form of current Premier League high-flyers Leicester City could be put down to the fact their players have only missed 1,028 days over the same period – and that includes the combined 363 days Matty James and Dean Hammond have been injured.
