T20 World Cup 2016 Opening Ceremony Live, Date, Time: The ICC World T20 2016 is scheduled to be played in India. This will be the 6th edition of the T20 World Cup and an Asian country will host it for the third successive time after Sri Lanka in 2012 and Bangladesh in 2014. The date at which the World Cup is scheduled to begin is 8th March 2016. The very first match of the tournament will begin in the evening and the opening ceremony of the World T20 will take place before the match starts.

The Opening ceremony of the World T20 2016 will be a grand affair, given that the tournament is held in India and you can expect many Bollywood stars to come and perform for the crowd present on the ground. Also, the opening ceremony will introduce all the participating teams, both women and men to the viewers on the TV and the fans in the stadium.
The World T20 2016 is scheduled to start on 8th March 2016 and will go on until 3rd April 2016, when the final will be played in the Eden Gardens, Kolkata. The matches will be broadcasted live by the official broadcasters of the ICC events in India, the Star Sports group. They will also provide live streaming of the opening ceremony and all the matches online on Starsports.com and hotstar.com.
There will be a qualifying round played before the main tournament begins for the men’s T20 World Cup. The Women’s T20 World Cup will run simultaneously alongside men’s tournament. 6 teams will take part in the qualifying round and they are Scotland, Ireland, Hong Kong, Netherlands, Afghanistan and Oman. These 6 associate teams will battle it out with 2 full-time members and the top two teams from the qualifying will join the top 8 ranked nations in the main draw of the World T20 2016. These groups are then divided into 2 groups.
Group A has Sri Lanka, England, South Africa and West Indies, while Group B has India, Pakistan, New Zealand and Australia. The opening ceremony of the World T20 will give the audiences a chance to see all the players from every participating country before they become rivals and fight it out on the field in a relaxed environment.
