Cummins ruled out of BBL|05 season: In a news that will devastate Sydney Thunder fans, ace speedster, Pat Cummins has been ruled out of the BBL 05.

22-year-old Pat Cummins, who last played an international match on the England tour, had to leave the tour midway due to a recurrence of a stress fracture in his back.

Pat Cummins suffered from the stress fracture in his back.

Cummins made his international debut for Australia in 2011 in a T20I against South Africa in 2011. He also played his first test against South Africa on the same tour. He has since represented Australia in 18 ODIs, 15 T20Is and 1 Test taking 33, 21 and 7 wickets respectively.

Pat Cummins is an out and out fast bowler who bowls regularly at over 145 clicks per hour. This has caused him many injuries in the past. He suffered a back stress fracture that required him to miss the entire 2012-13 summer of cricket. He did return to first-class cricket with Australia A in July 2013, but again suffered the same injury and was forced to miss the first half of the 2013-14 domestic season.

“Pat Cummins experienced lower back pain during the last ODI match in the UK and this pain continued upon his return to Australia,” said Cricket Australia physiotherapist David Beakley.

“He subsequently underwent an MRI scan yesterday which, unfortunately, has revealed a new early stage lumbar bone stress fracture. Becky added, “Consequently Pat will be unable to participate in the Bangladesh Test series and will now enter into a lengthy rehabilitation program.”

Cummins signed with Sydney Thunders in October of 2014 and played 5 games for them before joining the Australian squad for the ICC World Cup 2015, which they won beating New Zealand in the finals. Pat Cummins has played a total of 9 matches in BBL so far. He has picked up 8 wickets in those 8 matches with the best of 2/6. There has been no replacement named for Cummins so far.
