With Germany’s national coach Joachim Löw making it clear to Arsenal striker Lukas Podolski that he needs to play at least 30-40 games next season to be considered for Germany’s Euro 2016 squad, it seems the 30 year old is now in a rush to get out of the Arsenal squad.
Though news about his talks with Turkey Super Lig team Galatasary has not been a secret, the fact that Inter Milan refused to make his loan permanent, seems to have gotten the German striker a little worried.
To make matters worse, Podolski has not been at the best of his form and has scored just one goal in his six months in Serie A. Also if this deal with the Turkish giants doesn’t go though, it seems he will run out of option and would have nobody to blame but himself for the situation.
Podolski has made a total of 60 appearances for the Gunners since joining them in 2012 and is currently earning £100,000-a-week at the Emirates, but with Euro 2016 just around the corner, it seems he wants to take no chance and is rumoured to have agreed to join the Turkish team at just £2.1million.
The announcement about the above news is expected to come later this week.
