Taking the next step for their team Indian Super League (ISL) franchise Mumbai City FC have confirmed signing Spanish midfielder Juan Aguilera Nunez and Irish Defender Darren O’Dea for season 2015-16.

Mumbai City FC in last week’s ISL 2015: Domestic Players Auction and Draft had bought Indian National team captain Sunil Chhetri with the highest bid of the day of Rs.1.20 crore. The team had also bought 7 other domestic players in the draft.

Now with two more International signings, the team hopes to gain an edge in Indian Super League Season 2, which will not only help the team this year, but also help them better their results from last year, when the team finished second last on the points table.
Before Indian Super League, 29 years old Spaniard Nunez played for Greek Club Platanias F.C. from 2012 to 2015. He made 82 appearances for the club and scored 2 goals in that period. Before Platanias FC, Nunez played for Real Murcia since 2008, and had made his debut back in 2010, against Elche CF.
28 years old Irishman Darren on the other hand, is a Celtic youth product and has played for Ireland’s under-21 and at the senior level. He has 20 caps under his belt playing for Ireland and had made his debut back in 2009. Darren has played for Celtic since the 2006–07 and in his tenure there has lifted the Scottish Premier League twice, Scottish Cup once, and has also lifted the Scottish League Cup once. A strong defender Darren is also known for his amazing aerial duels.
