Monday Night RAW results – 30/11/15: WWE RAW this week comes just over a week after the surprise cash-in of Sheamus over a newly crowned champion in Roman Reigns at Survivor Series.
RAW begins with The New Day in the ring, organising a celebration for the new WWE World Heavyweight champion Sheamus, who struts out to the ring in a suit and the big gold belt tied around his waist.
Sheamus proceeds to give a ‘championship speech’ thanking The New Day, The Authority and even Roman Reigns for allowing him the opportunity to become the champion. The Celtic Warrior proceeds to mock Reigns and celebrate in the ring, posing for the crowd when Reigns shows up and Superman punches him and takes the belt with him.
Backstage the Authority meets up with Reigns, Ambrose and The Usos and retrieves the belt.
Dolph Ziggler vs Tyler Breeze
This was a solid match to begin the show and involved a series of counters and near-falls. Breeze comes close to hitting the Unprettier a few times, and so does Dolph with his Superkick.
Ziggler wins the match connecting with a Superkick outta nowhere for the pin.
Ryback vs Rusev
This match came about after Lana & Rusev appeared together on ‘Miz TV’ where both shared a passionate kiss, which was interrupted by ‘The Big Guy’.
After a brief exchange of power moves between both behemoths, the action spilled to the outside when Ryback shoved Rusev onto the steps with Lana on the other side. The impact causes Lana to fall and hurt herself with Rusev tending to her, causing his loss via count out.
The Wyatt Family vs The Dudley Boyz and Tommy Dreamer
The Dudley Boyz call in former ECW peer and fellow Original Tommy Dreamer in their ongoing war against The Wyatt family. The match is set for RAW where the Dudleys with Dreamer take on Strowman, Rowan & Harper.
The match ends in a no-contest after all the six men involved in the match start brawling in the ring, with The Wyatts gaining the upper hand after Strowman chokes out Dreamer.
Wyatt steps onto the apron and calls for the table when Bubba Ray pushes him on to a table set outside. The rest of the Wyatt family rushes to his aid and the Dudleys and Dreamer make their escape to the back.
Goldust vs Alberto Del Rio
This was a hard fought match between two veterans, involving some trademark stiff work from the US champion Alberto Del Rio. Del Rio makes quick work of Goldust and finishes him with a stomp off the top rope.
Following the match, Del Rio locks in the arm breaker on Goldust, which brings out Jack Swagger and Del Rio & Colter make a run for it.
The Usos vs The Lucha Dragons
The match between the two tag teams, which was to determine the no.1 contender for the WWE tag team championship, was a fast-paced affair for as long as it lasted.
But the match ends up in a no-contest after Big E & Kofi jump in to cause a DQ.
Sasha Banks vs Brie Bella
It was a competitive match between Banks & Bella, with Brie looking poised for a win after landing the kicks made famous by her husband Daniel Bryan.
However, the rest of the team BAD cause a distraction long enough for Sasha to roll up Brie for a win.
WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match: Sheamus vs Roman Reigns
The caveat for this match is that for Reigns to win this match, he has to beat Sheamus in under 5 minutes and 15 seconds. Reigns does everything in his power to accomplish the same, and with around a minute left, even drives Sheamus into the ring post on the outside.
However, after rolling him back in and getting ready to hit a Superman punch, Reigns is attacked by Barrett, Rusev & Del Rio causing a DQ wherein he wins but doesn’t win the title.
Charlotte vs Becky Lynch
The match is all about technical wrestling as Charlotte and Becky trade holds and submission manoeuvres, but during a spot where Charlotte jumps off the corner, she lands on her feet and acts to be hurt.
When Becky lets her guard down and goes to check on her, Charlotte rolls her up for a quick win.
Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, and The Usos vs The League of Nations
This was a cluster of a match involving the newly formed team called League of Nations and The New Day taking on the good guys in Ambrose, Reigns and the Usos.
The numbers game, play to the advantage of the New Day and the League of Nations, who stand tall in the ring after the match with Sheamus hitting brogue kicks on both Reigns & Ambrose to close the show.
