IPL Spot Fixing Verdict Announced - Chennai & Rajasthan suspended for 2 Years

Today verdict of IPL Spot Fixing controversy has been announced which is long being waiting for court decision. BCCI chief N Srinivasan has been found guilty in this case and have to leave his post of BCCI Chief in April, 2015. He have to quit BCCI President election for being charged in IPL Spot Fixing.

Today Supreme Court Judge Lodha and his committee had announced the decision of IPL 2013 betting case. They found Chennai Super Kings aka CSK and Rajasthan Royals aka RR guilty in IPL 2013 fixing and suspended then from IPL for 2 years.

Along with Punishment of teams, Supreme court also charged some Team Owners from IPL who are involved in betting. Biggies like Raj Kundra & Gurunath Meiyappan, being suspended for buying any team and sports which are affiliated from BCCI. They are also can’t take part in cricket related activities in India for next 5 years.

Both of them — Meiyappan is the son in law of former BCCI president N Srinivasan and the owner of CSK while Raj Kundra was the part owner of Rajasthan Royals at the time of betting case.

Both of them have been involved in betting, acting against the interest of the BCCI and against the spirit of cricket as well, which has led to the Lodha committee in taking appropriate measures against Meiyappan and Kundra.
