Indian Team for ODI and First 2 Tests against South Africa

Indian team announced for remaining 2 ODI’s and first two tests against South Africa. India is already behind in the ODI Series by 2-1 from South Africa. In yesterday match, due to slow batting by Kohli and Dhoni, India lose the match. Ravindra Jadeja is the surprise package of today team announcement who is selected in Tests squad for upcoming test series against Proteas for first two tests.

There is no change in Indian ODI team for last 2 ODI’s against South Africa except the one addition which is S Arvind. Team is selected in New Delhi in All India Senior Selection Committee today for:

  1. Paytm ODI Series Team for last 2 ODI matches.
  2. The team selected for first two tests.

India Test Squad against South Africa:

Virat Kohli (capt), Murali Vijay, Shikhar Dhawan, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane, Rohit Sharma, Wriddhiman Saha (wk), R Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Amit Mishra, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Umesh Yadav, KL Rahul, Stuart Binny, Varun Aaron, Ishant Sharma.

R.Ashwin who is injured can’t play the running ODI series have to leave the series in mid due to Injury. Ashwin is confident that he will recover from injury and play in upcoming test series against Proteas.

The biggest inclusion is that R Jadeja has been picked in the 16-member Test squad. Also, there was no place for Yuvraj Singh in the squad, despite some excellent performances for Punjab in the Ranji Trophy scores 187 to win his team.
