Indian squad for India vs Zimbabwe 2015 series

The Indian squad for the India vs Zimbabwe 2015 series has been announced. In some major surprises, all of the senior players have been rested such as MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina, Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan and R.Ashwin have been rested for this tour.

Ajinkya Rahane will be the captain of Indian team to Zimbabwe and the team sees the return ofHarbhajan Singh back into the limited overs format for India. Other players who have been chosen in the ODI team for the first time are Manish Pandey,Sandeep Sharma and Karn Sharma. The wicket keeping duties will be done by Robin Uthappa.

Manoj Tiwary and Murli Vijay make their comebacks into the Indian squad for the India vs Zimbabwe 2015 series. The selectors have chosen a fairly new team with young players having potential to show their talent, where as some get a deserving call back in the team. Experience in the team in both batting and bowling is balanced with the inexperience in both departments.

Zimbabwe proved to be a formidable opponent against Pakistan in the recent ODI series, giving tough fight to the Asian giants on their home turf. They lost a closely fought ODI and T20 series, but showed the potential that they have despite loosing one of their best batsman in recent times and an injured front line bowler.
