Controversies:

There were some controversies also happening at the tournament. Four bowlers were suspended from bowling due to illegal actions. Netherland’s Ahsan Malik, Kenya’s James Ngoche, Honk Kong’s spinner Nizakat Khan and Namibia’s Jason Davidson. Ahsan Malik; however, was not allowed to take any further part in the tournament after his reporting and all of the four bowlers will have to undergo an independent assessment of their bowling actions.

Another bigger controversy happened when it was reported that the World T20 qualifier match played between Afghanistan and Hong Kong will be investigated by the Anti-Corruption and Security Unit (ACSU) of ICC for betting.

The ACSU happened to notice some unusual betting patterns and will talk to major betting firms to get more information.
