1) Wayne Rooney started his on-field domination at the age of 9

When Rooney was just 9 years old, he was already dominating the football pitch and creating many records of his own. By the tender age of 9 Rooney had already bagged 99 goals for his local junior team and thus later caught many scouts attention and later got recruited by Everton, which was his favourite team while growing up.
He then joined Everton`s school of excellence and further developed his skills which helped him become the superstar that he is today. What is more he then went on to score 8 goals in 8 games his F.A Youth Cup team and before long made his Premier League debut.
2) Wayne`s younger brother, John Rooney, is also a skilled footballer

Just like older brother Wayne, John too is a talented footballer and at 23, has also proven himself to be a skillful footballer. Though John doesn`t has not got skills to Wayne`s caliber but he has still enjoyed some success playing at teams including Macclesfield, Barnsley, Bury and Chester, where he is currently.
What is more he also played for Major League Soccer (MSL) club New York Red Bulls and played besides the likes of Thierry Henry and faced tough competitions like against David Beckham.
3) At the age of 14, Rooney almost quit Football
While we all know that Rooney’s talent and love for football was evident since a very young age, but even then there are times in one`s life that one wants to pack everything up and leave. Such a phase came in Rooney`s life when he was just 14 and found himself no longer enjoying the game of football.
It was around this time that he had discussion with his former Everton`s owner Colin Harvey who in turn helped him fall in love with the game of football once again, a love that Rooney till date knows and nurtures. This further let Rooney to give up training for boxing something else he was passionate about and took up football full time.
4) Rooney had hair transplant at the age of 25
While we all have got used to Rooney`s lack of hair and bald patch by now, there are very few people who know that Rooney had a hair transplant in 2011 when he was 25. He then again had hair transplant done for the second time few years later, but his battle with his receding hair still continues and is very much evident to all his fans.
5) Rooney married his high school sweetheart
