DeAndre Jordan Backtracked to Clippers; Stunned Mavericks

DeAndre Jorden, verbally agreed to join Dallas Mavericks after finishing the contract with Los Angeles Clippers this year. DeAndre Jordan rejoined LA Clippers early morning Thursday. Clippers also signed Paul Pierce, Lance Stephenson and had a yearly deal with Wesley Johnson worth $1.1 million.

According to the sources the signing deal with LA Clippers completed today morning at his house in Houston. He did a contract of 4 year with Clippers that worth of $88 million. As per sources there is a clause in contract that Jordan can leave the team after three years.

Wednesday night Jordan had a meeting with clipper’s top players and top team officials including team president cum coach Doc Rivers and owner of the team Steve Ballmer at his house in Houston. In that meeting he agreed to revoke his verbal commitment with Mavericks to sign a four-year contract and rejoin the Clippers.

According to Clippers sources, Jordan expressed his wish of walking away from his new commitment and rejoining his first team Clippers. Los Angeles welcomed him in their time via their twitter account Thursday early morning.

Just before a week Jordan agreed verbally to Dallas Mavericks for a four-year deal, worth around $80 million. After his verbal agreement Mav’s owner Mark Cuban also told ESPN, “We think he is going to be our best player for years to come.”

Officials of Dallas Mavericks also tried to contact Jordan after the news of him to be approached by Clipper officials. Jordan not answered any phone calls, messages sent to him. Wesley Matthews was the player who agreed to join Mavericks with Jordan.

Dallas owner Mark Cuban also arrived to Houston on Wednesday to reduce the threat for his team. According to the sources, Jordan also promised a meeting with him before making any final call, but he was not able to meet Jordan.

Owner of Dallas Mavericks Mark Cuban wrote a CyberDust message to fans today – “I don’t think the time is right to say anything beyond the facts that he (Jordan) never responded to me at all yesterday. Not once. To this minute I have not heard anything from him since Tuesday night.”

He also mentioned Wesley Matthews in his message and mentioned him the perfect player for team. “More importantly, I specifically told (Wesley Matthews) that I would not hold him to his commitment if he wanted to go elsewhere.”

“I can’t print his exact response, but suffice to say he is excited to play for our Mavs. Wes Matthews is exactly the kind of player we want in a Mavs uniform and our fans will love him.”

Jordan also had a scheduled Caribbean cruise trip for the vacation on Thursday.

Now Jordan will look forward to play his 8th consecutive season with Los Angeles Clippers and to reach his dream of becoming the great centre player of NBA.
