According to latest report, English Premier League (EPL) side Aston Villa FC are on the brink of sealing Lille midfielder Idrissa Gueye for £9million.
Gueye who has made over 130 appearances for France Ligue 1 team Lille OSC, has had a lot of interest directed towards him this summer, including that of Arsenal FC, but if rumors are to be believed its Villa who has sealed the deal and agreed to Lille’s demanded fees.

Gueya is also expected to fly into Britain later today so as to have further talks with the club and to undergo a medical.
If the deal is sealed off, this would be Villa’s second signing of the summer. They had signed formerManchester City player Micah Richards’ late last month.
Besides Villa, Stoke City FC also seems to be on the brink of signing Inter Milan’s Xherdan Shaqirifor £12million. According to reports, the Swiss player who had joined the Serie A giants Inter Milanearlier this year in January, is now on his way to Premier League after the Potters agreed to a record deal of £12million with the Italian squad.
Stoke though, are yet to talk with Shaqiri about his personal terms, even though they are confident they will convince the winger to join them.
