Spanish La Liga Prize Money 2015-2016

Spanish La Liga Prize Money 2015: Royal Spanish Football Federation (RSFF) has regulated the news guidelines to distribute the Prize Money of La Liga among the 20 Clubs on equal basis. As per previous rights system Clubs were negotiating their own Television rights unlike Premier League where TV money is shared between the 20 clubs equally.

Previous setup of Prize Money Distribution in La Liga:

According to the old arrangement each club negotiate their own rights deal with the broadcasting partner, which result in the financial disparity among the top clubs and the rest of league. Both Real Madrid and Barcelona received the 140 million euros while teams at the bottom of the League table Elche, Valladolid and Rayo Vallecano earned just 18 million euros.

As per new rules and regulation implemented by Spanish Football Federation (LFP) television money and income distribution will be share equally between the all clubs of La Liga. The deal is centralized and each team will get fair their split. Both Real Madrid and Barcelona will no longer negotiate their own television rights.

Here is the complete breakdown of La Liga Prize Money Fund distribution for season 2015- 2016.

• Domestic broadcasting rights has been sold in deal worth of €600 million and oversees broadcasting rights in €500 million.
• 2% is allocated for the administration and operation of Spanish Football Association.
• Prize Money of La Liga will be distributed equally between the all 20 Clubs participating in the Spanish Football top flight.
• Fair amount of Television rights which include both Domestic and overseas broadcasting rights will give to the second division of Spanish Football.
• 3.5% will give to the teams which will be relegated from La Liga.
• 1% is allocated for the League system.
• 0.5% is reserved for Women football League.

Prize Money of La Liga 2015-16:

Prize Money of La Liga will be distributed among the 20 Clubs according to this formula.

Equal Share:

50% of total prize money for the total 20 club in La Liga.

Merit Money:

25% of prize money will give on club finishing position.

Resource generation:

25% will given according to the resource generation of Club.
